Hong Kong independent cargo handler Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited, or Hactl, won the Regional Air Cargo Handling Agent of the Year at the World Air Cargo Awards held on Tuesday, June 3 2025 in Munich, Germany.
There were 18 awards handed out across categories including service and solutions providers, innovation, promotion and marketing, regional and local cargo handling and the Airline of the Year.
Nominations and winners were chosen based on a combination of industry votes and the input of an independent jury to ensure an unbiased selection process.
“This event in Munich is always special,” says Hactl Chief Executive Wilson Kwong.“This award is a tremendous testament to the work of the entire Hactl team back in Hong Kong and the dedication they show on a daily basis, not just to delivering top quality air cargo handling but to the innovation they constantly show in our strive for excellence to keep us at the head of the pack.”
It was a big night for the Hong Kong air freight industry, with Hong Kong International Airport winning the best global cargo hub award.“I would also like to congratulate the Hong Kong International Airport on winning the ‘Airport of the Year 2025’ award. We’re truly proud to have contributed to this remarkable airport community,” Kwong says.
Across the other awards, Cargotech took home the award for Technology Solution Provider, while Unilode was named top Industry Service Provider. LATAM Cargo was recognised for excellence in pharmaceutical logistics, and Nallian earned the Innovation Award.
Qatar Airways Cargo claimed the marketing award, while Skyways and DHL Global Forwarding claimed the regional and global forwarding awards. WFS also earned global cargo handler award and SEA Milan Airport won the regional cargo hub award.
